This tour of Cappadocia will give you some time to explore this extraordinary area, including a day on your own.

 

Day 1 :

We will pick up up at your hotel early in the morning and transfer you to the airport for your flight from Istanbul to Kayseri or Nevsehir. Upon arrival we will transfer you to your hotel, where you will be picked up for your tour of the wonders of Cappadocia.

First we will visit Red valley to explore its famous rock – cut churches and hike 5km through the Gulludere valley. We will visit Cavusin village, famous for its houses and churches of Christian clergymen. After lunch, we will drive to Pigeon Valley and visit the Kaymakli underground city where early Christians lived in fear of invaders. Overnight in Cappadocia.

 

Day 2 :

After breakfast at your hotel, we will depart for Derinkuyu, the eight level underground city, carved by early Christians to protect themselves from persecutors. We will drive to Ihlara Valley, formerly known as Peristerema for lunch. We will explore its famous rock-cut churches, hike 4 km through the Valley, and visit the monasteries in Selime village. Overnight in Cappadocia.

 

Day 3 :

After breakfast at your hotel you will visit Dervent Imagination Valley to see a few unique fairy-chimneys; and Pasabag (Monk’s Valley) to see its mushroom-shaped pinnacles. We will continue to the city of Avanos for a pottery demonstration and lunch. After lunch, we will visit the Goreme Open Air Museum, the largest concentration of rock-cut churches and monasteries in Cappadocia, many with incredible Byzantine frescoes of old and new testament scenes. We will see the natural rock-castle in Uchisar. At the end of the tour, we will transfer you to the airport for your return flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival in Istanbul, we will transfer you to your hotel, arriving at about 10PM.
